Synopsis

Desiree is the main protagonist and current Runekeeper in the Desiree The Half Elf Princess Warrior serial novel series.

Biography

Early Life

Desiree was born in Elysium to her mother, Persia Lovely and her father, Master Galaeron

At the age of three, Desiree was abandoned by her mother and placed in the custody of Brenda and Aiden Goodrigde. The couple soon adopted her into their family in the fictional town of Ember Falls, Massachusetts.

By sixteen, Desiree was expelled from several schools due to her manifestation of her powers. Hence, she ended up having to put into a private school, called Lake Academy, where she met and befriended Chandler Shaw and Genevieve Cherrywood.

Not everything was good for Desiree as her powers resurface once more when she had an encounter with the head cheerleader and bully Hayden Pembroke. An altercation took place in the school lunch room, were as it turned out this was the first time, Hayden revealed herself to be a witch as she stood toe-to-toe with Desiree until the latter was able to get the upper hand, causing Hayden to come away with the encounter with an injured arm.

Around the same time, Desiree had a crush on a mysterious, yet handsome young man named Horatio Anthony Buttermere, who reciprocated her feelings with his own. He invited her to a party that was hosted by a fellow classmate, Kyle Qartermaine.

Desiree also meets Cordelia Frost, a gifted witch who suddenly appeared out of the blue, pretending to be a new student, but Desiree was fully aware that she was not who pretends to be, having encountered the elfin witch while going through an out of body experience, witnessing Cordelia and  her friend Ashbey Constantine conjuring a locator spell in order to find the whereabouts of the Runekeeper(little did neither Cordelia, nor Desiree knew at this beforehand).

LTE NIGHT VISITION

Desiree's slumber is interrupted by a series of knocks on her house's door by the mysterious sorceress, Persephone Deveraox and Beholder, Jenna Axebender. They reveal a prophecy that pertains t Desiree rise to the Runekeeper and that her biological mother had staged her death and burial just to prevent the Runekeeper bloodline to cease to continue which she failed in the end.

Isabella Granmeyer

"Where's the stone? Don't lie to me. Give it to me!"

-Isabella to Desiree, "Isabella's Warning"

Desiree had a fateful run-in with a woman disguised as the school guidance councilor, Trish Wiseman. At first Desiree was clueless of this information, despite the faulty member's odd behavior.

Yet, it was Isabella herself that revealed her true identity. That wasn't all, she also divulged the reason she had singled out the young woman in the first place: A magical necklace dubbed the Rune of Aderise.

Due to the fact that Desiree doesn't have the enchanted jewelry in question, Isabella was quite unhappy of this news, yet she decided to present Desiree with an ultimatum:

"I'll tell you what: I'll give you until tomorrow night at the stroke of midnight for you to surrender the stone. Understand?"

-Isabella, 'Isabella's Warning, Desiree The Half Elf Princess Warrior: Keeper of the Rune'

True to her word, Isabella returned to the school ready to take possession of her prize. But she was confronted by members of the Coven, as a result she fled the scene once more.

Desiree and Anthony are arrested and though not formally charge with murder they are interrogated. Desiree was questioned by lead investigator, Lieutenant William Jackson, his partner homicide detective, Midori Miyahira and FBI Special Agent, Kate Middleton.

Ember Falls Police Prescient

With the help from members of the coven, Desiree breaks out of the interrogation room, yet, their plan was foiled by the Order of Wendogor, long with Isabella and her clan.

A four way brawl breaks out inside the police station between the Order, the Knights of Noyrin, the police and the Coven which ends in a standoff.

With the reemergence of Anthony, Desiree managed to escape and with the help from the members of the coven, she fled in a RV to a temporary safe area, but as she attempted to escape via a portal, she was confronted by Isabella for the fourth time, and in doing so, the lycan queen gets the upper hand, and over the timely intervention of the aforementioned, from her deceased family and Persephone, the Runekeeper was able to get away.

Elysium

"As well as you should be. Besides, you already. And there's no going back to the way things used to be. The battle lines have been drawn between opposing sides, and you're knee deep in the midst of a war between good and evil that you cannot avoid, let alone stand idly by and do nothing."

--- Twyla, 'There's No Place Like Home, Desiree The Half Elf Princess Warrior: The Enchanted Compass'

Desiree and company fled to the fictional town of Elysium where they hide out in Golin Peaks, an enormous mountain near the fictional city of Elysium, for brief time in order to recover.

Soon afterwards they made their way to The Deep of Ponguay, an ocean that leads to Eynsworth Palace, but in order to travel there they had to take a ship.

As it so happened, there was a sea vessel available, the Dream Seeker, captioned by an infamous pirate captain, Grayson Tindall and his Master Gunner, Hiram Bates, and first mate, and paramour, Felicity.

"I'll tell you what, Miss Lovely. I'll take you to your destination. I wish you luck."

- Grayson Tindall, 'Eynsworth Palace'

The pirate caption takes them on a sea voyage to Eynsworth Castle, which was located on an island, Weyford Enclave,, surrounded by an expanse forest overlooking a cliff. It was here, Desiree divulged her fear of drowning.

Upon their arrival, Desiree was amazed of the Palace. And she was greeted by the many sentries stationed at the entrance of the courtyard.

It is here she meets Lady Morgana Drake, and her mother Cassandra. The former wasn't particular happy to say the least of the party's unannounced arrival so late in the night.

In an alternate timeline, Desiree's soul was sent ten years into the future, and inserted within the body of a woman, whose own essence was casted out in consequence.

With the help of Cordelia, her older brother, Nathan Frost, and Solstice La Frey, whose own locks to her own hair was used to create a potion called the Chameleon Elixir).

Desiree found herself a patient in a mental institution, an unwilling captive by the dragon born, Zorself, a servant of the Dark Goddess, Kera.  She was befriended by a fellow patient there going by the name of Willow Styles. Together they attempt to breakout of the ward, but Willow was taken by a gnome named, Caenu, who wants the Runekeeper in finding and rescuing his beloved from a powerful warlock.
