Misty is a gifted witch and native of the fairytale town of Ember Falls, Massachusetts and former enemy of the Runekeeper, Desiree. Misty started out as the school troublemaker, given her status as the head cheerleader, eventually developing her talents to become a powerful and assertive witch in the Desiree The Half Elf Princess Warrior: Keeper of the Rune serial novel.

Early life

Misty Gallagher was born to Patricia and Jack Gallagher. Her mother died in an accident after she was born. She became best friends with the vampire, Horatio Buttermere, who she had a hopeless crush on him ,but due to their mutual affiliation with the Coven she was able to keep her feelings towards him a secret for the sake of the cause.

High School

To act normal, as well as keep an eye on Desiree, she along with Anthony and Cordelia Frost were assigned to the roles of students attending the school.

 

She has chameleon like ability to change her appearance at a whim. She also happens to be an extraordinary fighter, able to handle herself against opponents stronger than herself, including Desiree Lovely, the current Runekeeper. She is an alley of the Coven of the Emerald Rune.

She was first introduced to the former after the young woman had transferred from another school, having been kicked out for mysterious circumstances. 

 

A month later, the two of them had an altercation, which stemmed from weeks of bullying courtesy of Misty and her friends towards Desiree. The encounter took place in the school lunch room, where Misty witnessed for the first time the full brunt of Desiree's innate abilities that even she wasn't fully aware of herself.

In the ensuing confrontation, Misty briefly got the upper hand before Desiree's true potential came full circle as she not only overpowered her adversary until she came to her senses in time to prevent any further damaged to the integrity of the lunch room, but Misty managed to escape any major injuries other than hurting her arm.

Misty was a part of those chosen to help Desiree when she along with Anthony were arrested and accused of murdering her adopted mother, Brenda Goodridge. 

Here, the group is consisted of Persephone, the soreness, Misty's boyfriend, Jayden Darkwood, a fellow wizard, Cordelia and her parents, Rosemary and her step father, Ezekiel.

The party managed to get Desiree as far as the police office before they are confronted by Desiree's bloodthirsty and ruthless nemesis, Isabella Granmeyer, a powerful lycanthrope and leader of her own wofen clam. A battle ensued with the addition of the Knights of Noyrin, a lethal sect dedicated to the destruction of the Rune of Aderise and its current wearer, Desiree. The leader of the group is called Rayner the Red. 

Misty was last seen fleeing through a portal with the others in her party.
