Isabella Granmeyer was a werewolf, although she wasn't born that way. Originally a human, she became a werewolf at a very young age after having been bitten by one on her way home after she and husband were ambushed. At the time of this brutal assault she was with child.

Soon after werewolves were rounded up and executed, yet Isabella managed to elude execution. However, he husband and child weren't so lucky as they too were slaughtered.
